How would you compare the performance between the two?

the 16 is about 5 mph faster then 13 to 15 models and maintains speeds much better..it seems to do about 40 mph so would be similar to 2001 to 2005 metro but much better brakes and higher quality of finish

I've got a 2008 and a 2016. The bone-stock 2016 is peppier than the 2008, which has a Polini clutch. Flat-ground, the 2008 is a 25-30mph machine and the 2016 is a 30-35mph machine, carriyng my 200 lbs. around.

My 2013 hauls my 200lb. butt around at 33-35 mph, depending on which way the wind is blowing. My Met is fuel injected.

As an update-

After a Polini variator, dialing in sliders, kevlar belt, clutch spring, Iridium plug, and removing the restrictor plate and adjusting for altitude, my 2008 is now a solid 7-10mph faster than my 2016., with tops around 40-43.

Now I have to figure out what mods are available for the 2016. Not seeing a whole lot out there.
