Hey, no worries - everybody's welcome here. :)

Hm, bought it at MSRP, no set up fee? That's cool. Was it an older model?

Interesting that the Yamaha dealer said that. We hear that about a lot of dealers (only caring about the bigger bikes) but not often about the company.

Thanx..... my Bud was a 07 bought in Aug of 07.

I like the vintage look scoots so the buddy , metro , and Vino all really caught my eye. I like ,what I would call, the wheel skirt look . The 2 tone Metro makes that look stand out.

sooooo ..... of course the the vintage look Vespas and Stella are also one of my dreams.

The Ruckas is also a eye catcher .... kind of odd .... but interesting

Ever notice whenever the subject of Genuine comes up , a new member appears, usually with a username related to the line, posts a pro-Genuine post or two , then disappears forever ?

Weird. :))

I am a Buddy 50 owner. I looked at a few scoots metro, vino, C3 & some TGB stuff ... thought they were all nice scoots (TGB lower then the others). I bought my Buddy at the Yamaha dealer .... The Yamaha dealer quit carrying the Yamaha scoots, except for the maxi scoots like the Morphis, because they thought they were over priced and they said it seemed like Yamaha was more concerned with making a sale ... and Yamaha was more focused on the bigger $ bikes. ....This is what the Yamaha dealer told me.
.

more likely this particular dealer is making a much bigger profit margin by selling the Buddy over the Vinos, Zumas & C3's ;) LOL

I guess this is true since he does not sell the small Yamaha scoots anymore.

I have nothing bad to say about these scoots ...... I may have even bought one if the dealer still sold them
