Wow, I'd forgotten about this thread. I drug my old Bridgestone RB-T down from the garage rafters this spring, cleaned it all up, and started riding again. Does this look like a 17 year old bicycle?

I enjoyed getting back into biking so much that I bought an old mountain bike to use as a city bike. Here is a photo of it as I brought it home. 1997 KHS Summit:

Since then, I've put on an old Selle San Marco Regal saddle, replaced the knobbies with Schwalbe Big Apple tires, and have an Xtracycle kit on the way that should be here tomorrow. I'll post more photos when I get it together.

Meanwhile, both daughters and my wife got new bikes. Photo galleries of all can be found here.

Hi,

I'm without a bicycle since i moved to my new place (because of the lack of storage for a full size bike), but not long ago i found a company named Dahon which makes folding bicycles. The following model will probably be the one i buy:

http://www.dahon.com/us/speedd7.htm

p.s.: here's the link, but sorry, not able to put any pictures... :-s

I just got back into pedaling after a few years of scooter only 2 wheel riding. My buddy opened a bike shop and is living the dream of endless hours and empty bank accounts =))

here's my new ride - KHS Urban Uno

Image

an awesome single speed cruiser for training rides on the flat roads at the beach.

My LiteSpeed Titanium has been hanging on hooks in the garage for the past several years - retired after 10s of thousands of miles. The Mongoose Carbon IBOC mountain was once my primary ride and awesome offroad, then was retired to be my beach cruiser with cushier road tires and platform pedals. Now it's taking up space in the basement.

I collect and restore antique bicycles. This is a 1920 Indian Bicycle with wood wheels. Made by the Indian Motorcycle Company.

kunzog- that bike sure is a beauty--nice restoration!

the other day I had an opportunity to try out a conference bike or septacyle. An amazing contraption!

I ride a basic 1994 Trek Mountain bike. I just got some neat collapsible rear baskets for it.

Welcome! Cool vintage. Have you looked at the Classic & Vintage section of Bike Forums? There are some wonderful old rides on there.

Your Met looks great, and that Kia is a neat new car.

Glad you found us,
Steve

Thanks for the link to Bike Forums. I tried to register and found that I had already registered in 2005. I guess I had forgot about that site because the content then was mainly "new" road bikes. Looks like it has changed a lot with more interesting topics.

And another. I just put this back together. It is at least 50 years old. My Dad made it and used to ride it. I rode it as a kid. Figured it was time to try again. :D
