I love jumping spiders! their vision is so good that their body language shifts showing they not only see you but are thinking which is cool...one of few spiders I'll catch and take outside if i find them inside...sorry daddy long legs (aka 'attic spider') if I see you inside your toast... :>

How many eyes does a critter need? This is the most artistic spam I've seen in a while.

Most likely spam, as the user joined that day, this is their only post, they have no profile, and they've added a link to a commercial/non-scooter site in their sig. After the thousands of spammers Wendy and I have banned, we tend to spot 'em pretty quickly.

Very cool photos, though! I've got a bunch of macro and micro transparencies from using bellows many years ago. Haven't done much macro with digital, although it is much easier to get the lighting right.

It first occurred to me that the OP was a spammer. But I did not want to remove it based on a hunch or a personal aversion to spider things. If it's off topic but acceptably weird, I don't want to interfere. I try to Moderate in moderation. I am now very sorry I did not eliminate the thread immediately. Hey, I figured if it's off topic stuff and posted in the Off Topic section, I'm not gonna judge it as spam. Especially since I didn't have to look at the spiders in that link just to find out! I won't be returning to this thread at all now that I actually do have to look at spiders, thanks to cutehogg's supply of unhidden spider pics. Revolting to me, though others may enjoy it, but I don't call it spam as long as it stays in the Off Topic section and it's not out of line regarding other criteria such as good taste and non vulgarity, civility etc. .

If this slack invites further posts of crawly insect things, glossy larvae, macros of maggots, etc, I will ask my fellow Moderator to thwart this thread from over population. One dose of this enough, ok?

Aren't there nicer things for us all to look at???
