looks like the graphite is a tad darker then the Gothic, but I would have to see it in person to be sure.

Hello, I just picked up a non-running, 2007 Met with 280 miles on it. This weekend, I plan on changing all the fluids, cleaning the carb, getting it back running. The young lady who owned it dropped it and never rode it again.

I picked it up for a great price.

The right side body cover is heavily damaged so I thought I would buy another one from Servicehonda.com.

The color, I thought was Sapphire but the parts list indicates CANDY TAHITIAN BLUE. Any ideas on this one??

i notice colorite also identifies "ruby" as "candy glory red". both colors look okay and i suspect that they - colorite - don't want to get into a pissing match with honda over what are probably copywrited color names.

I have an '07 Met in Sapphire Blue. That is Honda's name for the color. If Honda is that picky about the use of their color names, that is absolutely ridiculous beyond belief. Both PlastiKote and DupliColor list the actual factory color names and color code numbers for every car and truck they make paint for, as do several professional brands used by body shops, and that includes Honda cars. That's part of the problem. Honda is greedy, and wants to be paid for every little thing. That will be their undoing. Neither Honda, nor any other vehicle manufacturer is doing very well in todays economy, and I don't expect that to change anytime soon. 2 local Honda dealers already went out of business, after more than 20 years. They need to change their ways if they are going to weather the storm, and keep their loyal customer base.

You can download all of Yamaha's service manuals on PDF from several sources online. I got one for my '08 Vino 125. Free. Yet, I could not find a Met service manual online anywhere. Something as simple as that would cause me to buy Yamaha instead of Honda. So could the fact that the Met uses an unnecessary $350 ECM, while the Yamaha Vino does not. I didn't know this stuff when I bought my Met, but I do now, and will be more careful in the future.

I also noticed that bikebandit.com does not list Honda body panels by their actual color names either, but but they do for Yamaha panels. Really kind of makes you wonder.

I'm pretty sure that Soichiro Honda would not be very proud of the company that he started, as it exists today. Jerry.

if you look on any of the online sites that sell Honda parts-the colors are labeled are different than the name Honda gives them. One name must be for marketing, the other could be a universal one to describe the color for different countries? For example Juice, is called Jolly Orange, Sky is Titanic Blue

well, with the '13 redesign coming up, here's one of the colors:

who knows what else they'll trot out since they typically have had four or more colors each year.

Just trotted over to the Honda site and they are showing the new Mets in the scooter section. Here are the 2013 colors:

Here's one from 2005. I have never seen this color before.

Checkerboard was an oddball offering, but quite a few were sold back then. I'm pretty sure it was only a 2005 choice, just that one model year. It's surprising to see one again as the checker Met was a real novelty, not common, and had a harder attraction for resale value. Now the checkerboard looks so vintage!
