Tried on some Full Face Helmets Today...

Postby FLATOUT50 on Sat Sep 05, 2009 2:59 pm

Was at the dealer I got my scoot from, Picked up some oil and helmet cleaner.

Tried on the HJC FS-10, Large was too big, Med was tight. My head is right on the line as measured on the chart. It could be a medium or large depending on the helmet manufactuer and model.
Have not tried on the FS-15 yet, but since all the interior padding was different, this is definately not a mail order part.

I'm at 1000 miles, so this oil change I'm popping out the strainer for giggles to see if anything is there, or if it's just a rock catcher.

When I did my first oil change on my Vespa there was definitely a bit of shrapnel in the screen- I've never taken out the screen on any of my Metros. :P

HJC helmets tend to rounder than oval - so it may be the shape more than than anything. Try some of the other brands and see if they fit better. The good thing is that once you find a make that is compatible with the shape of your bean, you can order them online without much concern.
