Corazzo Jackets

Postby NateMC on Mon Apr 07, 2008 1:22 am

Anyone have any experience with them, they read like it might be nice but no way am I gonna drop $230 on a jacket online without ever trying it on.

Thinking about getting their 5.0 jacket.

Everyone over on the scooter diva forum who has the new 5.0 jacket really raves about it. Their styling & color combos are very nice.
The only ones I have seen & tried on were the older 3.0 version and they were stiff and uncomfortable. I'd love to try on the current version.

They are better for cooler weather & not hot summer. Corazzo is supposed to be coming out with a mesh style soon.

i love the 5.0 but I cannot afford it...I'm going to start saving for winter.

The jacket I currently have for cooler weather is the Trinity by TourMaster. It's great except the sleeves are about 3 inches too short at the wrist. Ive been making due because my gloves are long-ish, but I don't love it. It just fits so perfectly everywhere else.

My summer jacket is a Power Trip Mesh jacket...I can't remember the name. It's a little too big, but it's sleeves are long enough.

i haves a corazzo- the bomber one i LOVE it. hey the sizing is super screwy... i went in thinking i'd pick up an XL in womens, left with a mens petite!

as for the mesh Sooz mentioned it's already out... but it's only a stripe of mesh maybe 2 inches wide across the chest and back. no bueno- me no likee.

I'm waiting to hear back from Vespa Seattle to see if they have any in stock.

Sounds like if it fits, it's the jacket I've been looking for.

Thanks for the links and feedback everyone

Every year, ladies have more and more options for riding gear. So much more available now, compared to even ten years ago.

ari--where did you see the Corazzo mesh? I looked on their website and cannot find it.

The Corazzo is a really gorgeous jacket, but out of my price range, too--especially when I can get such great deals on closeouts. But one day I hope to own one.

It's the Speedway (only for men). And I agree with ari- not enough mesh for the summer I've got ahead of me.

They have some over at "The Scooter Shop", which is on my way home from work. I tried them on and they seem very well made, tough cordera material, stylish, reflective stripes, knox armor in most models. But they seem to run one size small and lack sufficient ventilation for warmer weather (they do have vents on some models, just didn't seem adequate though) and the liner is not removable. Price wise, they're right up there with other popular brands, $180~230. I really like them, but being in Southern California and with the warm weather is coming soon, I think I'm going to opt for a textile jacket with a removable liner and more vents.

I was leaning towards this:
http://www.ridegear.com/rg/item/F-58077 ... acket.html

I tried one on at the local shop and it seems to be what i'm looking for. It's not quite as stylish as the Corazzo jackets though. I've seen some mesh jackets and they just don't seem to provide enough slide protection as the textile jackets. I'm afraid of the mesh getting hooked on things too. I was also thinking of just getting one of those armored jackets from EVS or Alpinestars and wearing whatever jacket over it when it's cold.

I gotta say those Corazzo jackets are really stylin.

I have the mesh-Tex jacket and love it.

I got both the soft pads and the Armor so depending on weather I can swap out.

The liner makes the jacket warm for cool mornings and easily removed.

I got the matching armor mesh-tex gloves, did not get the pants yet.

Also have the first gear rain suit

Visited Vespa Seattle today to try on a 5.0 and the XXL was too small by an inch, they were however able to special order a XXXL and I'll have it tomorrow or monday.

They do run small in the sizes. My XXXL carhartt is two sizes too big!
