How-To: not loose small parts your working with

A magnetic bowl is the answer. I got mine at home depot for $10. It's a big magnet and will stick to a metal surface. Any metal part put it in will stick to it. So even if you knock it over everything will stay. I use this at night alot when I know if one bolt goes on the floor it's going to be a pain to find it.

Good habit to get into, if it comes off the bike and needs to go back on, put it in bowl for safe keeping.

I have three indispensable tools that stick to the side of my toolbox... they consist of nothing more than a super strong flat circular neodymium magnet affixed to an aluminum rod. I'll occasionally carry one on my toolbelt to keep screws, and they're super-handy to get stuff that falls down into the cavernous space created by the tupperware.
