One thing that I'd definitely like to see is threads just for specific regions, for example, Southeastern US, Western US, Canada, Japan, etc.

So you think there should be more sections under the meet ups? Do you think that stickys would be good in the Meet ups? One for each region?

Yeah, I think "stickies" should be enough. I feel that users are really spread out everywhere in the States in Canada. If you have ONE entire board for each state or region, I think that may be too "specific" and they might not be as busy. But "stickies" in one board for each region is a really good idea. Replies can be added and even if not all regions are as popular, at least they will all be in one board. That's my 2 cents anyway...

Being in the North West I always feel alienated by large regional forums, because we don't have tons of people up here. (Although it seemed from some of the polls we have strong represenation up here) I will post up some stickys if we can figure out what regions we want...

Being that I've lived in the NW all my life I don't really know what catagories we need, how about I throw these out and you guys tell me what needs to be added!

Canada (does it need to be split?)
NW USA
SE USA
NE USA
SE USA
MW USA (Mid West, there are lot of people there... does it need to be split further?)

If you feel that this is too much division let me know.

I'm glad to try and help. :D

Canada definitely needs to be split up - heck, put BC in the Pacific Northwest region, and I'd be happy with that. :)

This site is easy to use and find things, so no need to be that particular.

Being a Canadian myself I don't get this comment. I don't want to start anything political here...but why would you want to put BC with the US Pacific Northwest region? Are you guys american now and I missed something? Sorry...no offense intended here but please...be cool towards your own country girl...

The site needs "contact us" info. Very hard to find as it is.

Because geographically speaking, I'm closer to Washington State than, say, Quebec. And BC Is a part of the Pacific Northwest region, even if it is in a different country.

Agreed, it's not a political statement. We'd just be more likely to join a meet in Washington than put our scoots on a plane to Eastern Canada.

Would that be integrated into WWW or just an IRC server? Has anyone/everyone used IRC before?
