$6.97 for a roll of 24 sq ft of woodgrain vinyl at home depot! But it took a lot of time to put it on and have a decent finish with no bubbles and wrinkles! It was a really fun project!

What I think you've used is the roll vinyl that the Depot sells, primarily to line shelves, drawers, etc.
While it looks good, I don't know how durable is it...and I would definitely keep it out of the sun, Ultraviolet light will not be kind to untreated vinyl.
