Skyline Drive, Virginia

Postby scooter_girl on Mon Jun 09, 2008 9:05 pm

Over Memorial Day weekend my boyfriend and I took a scooter trip to Skyline Drive, VA. It was about 45 minutes each way and he was driving an 08 Honda Ruckus and I was on my 08 Honda Metropolitan. Below is the link to the video he shot while coming off the mountain. There are some incredible views! We hope to travel much more of that road.

O_O OMG. I go up on the drive at least 3 or 4 times a month with my fiance...I never thought I could bring the met up there. The hills...so steep. How did you do it? How fast did you go? Was it scary?

Going up the mountain before you actually enter the national park was kinda scary but that was just because the other cars would speed around the corners. I guess the Met went about 30mph on the way up. Once inside the park it was absolutely gorgeous and since the speed limit is 35 mph I didn't have to worry about speeding cars. I definitely suggest taking a trip and if you're ever up on the scooters just let us know I'm sure we'll go again.
